Non-urgent advice: Interpreting & Translation Services

At The Misbourne Practice, we can arrange a free interpreting service for patients who need help communicating during their appointments.

To ensure you receive the right support, please let us know as early as possible if you require an interpreter - this should be done at the time of booking your appointment.

For hospital appointments, please contact the relevant department or ward directly to inform them that you require an interpreter, as soon as you receive your appointment details.

To maintain patient safety and confidentiality, we do not allow children to act as interpreters during appointments or treatment.  If needed, a family member or friend may inform us that you require assistance when you first get in touch.

If your appointment plans change, please inform us as soon as possible.  Letting us know if you are unable to attend or if you expect to be late, helps ensure interpreters are available for other patients and services run smoothly.

We also value your feedback.  Please tell us if you experienced any difficulties communicating during your appointment, or if the interpreting service worked well.  Your feedback helps us improve our service for everyone.
